If you’re looking for a trail ride, but you want something less aggressive than the Hydrocut, try this.  It’s something you can take your cyclocross on (35mm tires recommended).  Since these are pedestrian parks as opposed to WCC trails which is cycling first, please always ride in control and yield to hikers.

Riding ranges from easy pines trails to very technical hardwood trails.   It is a little difficult to find everything the first few times you go there.  If you don’t know your way around, you could end up walking a bit more than you’d like.

With the stunning Niagara Escarpment as a backdrop, Kelso Conservation Area in Milton is a mecca for outdoor enthusiasts.  The park is also home to an extensive trail network for hiking and mountain biking where you can explore the stunning fields and old growth forests on top of the escarpment.

The Guelph Road Off-Bicycle Association (GORBA) is the largest group in Guelph dedicated to the needs of off-road cyclists. GORBA preserves, maintains, and increases the trail network in Guelph.  GORBA participates in discussions with other trail user groups and with key organizations such as the Grand River Conservation Authority and The City of Guelph.  They coordinate club rides and events for all ages and skill levels during the cycling season.

There are several trails at this amazing facility. There are trails for all levels of riders. The trails are very well indicated and the level of difficulty is indicated at the start of the trail.

A great selection of fast, flowy and technical single and double track trails.  Its a bit of a maze with little signage, so best to have a guide or join a group ride if you want to find the best trails first time.

Woodstock Cycling Club – The Pines

Great trail system.  In wet conditions, trails being mostly sand based soil, excel.  The Pines is a members-only riding area.  What this basically means is:  Please carry your Waterloo Cycling Club (OCA) membership card/sticker with you if you plan on visiting just a couple of times per year.  Otherwise,  please consider purchasing a membership by clicking here.
